I love my new trimmer - the battery goes and goes and does a superlative job. I have a torn rotator cuff and can't lift heavy products. I just love this, not to heavy and does a really good job of trimming. Excellent item, no bumping for the cord to come out. Buy one, you won't be sorry.

Works great for a battery operated tool. It has more power than I expected it to have. I also was VERY PLEASED that it came with 2 batteries! I'd buy this item again in a heartbeat and have already recommended it to others.

Who could ask for anything more? Great battery life, powerful cutting power - with 2 batteries, to boot! This trimmer does a fine job. And the batteries can be used in other Black & Decker 18 volt cordless devices.

I have owned a number of different gas powered trimmers and they all were more powerful than this B&D electric trimmer, so as many other reviewers have stated, if you are doing a big area, or using a trimmer a lot, perhaps this is not the right choice for you. I was on the fence about it myself, but when my last gas unit konked out, decided to give it a shot and I'm happy I did. My property is about 1 acre and there is a good bit of trim work to do, but I've had no trouble finishing the job, usually on one battery. A couple of times, when cutting through heavier growth, I did have to switch batteries and it's nice to have the other ready to go just in case. Other reviewers thought the batteries didn't last very long...maybe 15 minutes of running time. I was very careful to follow the instructions when charging them initially and have found I regularly get more than 20 minutes per battery pack. This unit uses a single filament cutting line which does a decent job if you take your time, but it only does a relatively narrow swath, so trimming tends to take a little longer. Not playing with gas and oil or the stink of 2 cycle exhaust or fussy hard to start gas trimmers is a pleasure. Now I just pick up the Grass Hog when I need to trim something and squeeze the trigger...works every time with no fuss. The batteries are a little heavy and unit seems a bit heavy/unwieldy to me so it's just as well the battery life limits how long you can use it. There's no support strap to take weight off your arms/shoulders. Overall, I'm very happy so far with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a cordless electric trimmer.

I guess for 99 bucks you can't expect too much. The trimmer does a good job of trimming, and batteries aren't too bad. The plastic guard leaves a lot to be desired. It comes in 2 pieces you have to assemble and install on the machine. When using it for the first time the guard flew apart and stipped the screw holes. I used Gorilla glue to put it back together. Hope it holds! Good job BD?!

I have practically cut my whole yard this handy little Grass Trimmer. I have used practically no string, and it is an amazing tool for the price and performance I have had. This is the perfect weed wacker for the smaller yard, or for someone who is physically challenged in anyway. Light weight, does what it says, inexpensive, what more could you want?

For $20 you can't go wrong. Doesn't work well for deep edging, but for light trimming and edging its good for the price

This tool works very well. And at this price, it is a no brainer. I use this on my St. Augustine grass and it cuts it close. I love the bump feature to release more string. It is also very light and quiet. Just buy an appropriate extension cord and you are good to go. Nothing to charge and it does not use gas, so it does no pollute.

This little trimmer is perfect for me. Its light weight and is easy to use.

Product arrived on time. Glad we found it on Amazon as the stores aren't carrying it this year.

I ordered this trimmer in May. I have used it maybe 5 times this year and now the battery dies after about 3 minutes use. The trimmer itself is good - the battery issue is TERRIBLE. Something needs to be done about this and I do expect to get a new FREE battery!

Purchased Lithium Ion in May to replace my Grass Hog because it was lighter and promised 3 times the battery life. Big mistake. 2 Grass Hog betteries gave me 20 min. The Worx gave me consistently 13 min. (Yes I timed it). Called and they replaced the battery. Still 13 min. then the battery would not charge. Called and received another battery. Worked for a couple weeks only. Called again and have another battery on the way. Also the Battery overheats when you use it in hot weather and you can't charge it when hot without hurting the battery. Imagine trying to use a trimmer on a sunny day. Also the auto line feed only works sometimes. Should have returned in the 30 day period. On the good side It's light, the battery charges within 30 min., it cuts well when working (but not as powerful as Grass Hog), and the Customer Service is friendly and readily sends out a new battery. Glad I have a 2 year warrenty. Would not buy if I were you.

We purchased a Worx GT cordless trimmer in June. I got one good run from the battery and now the battery works for about 5 seconds and shuts off even when its fully charged. I have tried to reach the customer service both on-line and on the phone. I wait on the phone and never talk to anyone. No one calls back like they promise to. No one returns my emails. I do not recommend this product or the company!

I love this trimmer/edger. We have a gas trimmer, but it's too cumbersome for me, so my husband was the only one who could use it. When I decided I'd become more involved in the yardwork, I looked for something lightweight and easy to start. The WORX GT is perfect. The added bonus was that I was able to assemble it myself in no time. The instructions, both for assembly and for use, are the best I've ever seen. I've had it less than a month but I've now used it several times. As a trimmer it seems to take care of everything in our yard, including some pretty tough growth behind our property. Also, it's very easy to convert to an edger. Battery recharges quickly. Very good investment.

I used the trimmer one time, put it on charge, and when I went to use it the second time, the battery would only last about 10 seconds. I emailed Worx, but no response. I finally reached them by phone and the lady said to charge and discharge it 6 times and the battery would hold a charge. After 6 over-night charges, the battery still failed.
